After more than two decades of these events we produce this disc as a heartfelt tribute through the music of the units from both nations, performed by selected bands, to all those who attended the conflict and specially to those who fall there. Our hope is that mutual respect among all, and a better reciprocal knowledge may help build paths of reconciliation.

Music of the Argentine Infantry and from the Period of Spanish Colonial Rule

Performed by the band of the Regimiento de Infantería 1 Patricios (Patricios N° 1 Infantry Regiment) of the Argentine Army, the only remaining unit created when the actual country was an Spanish Viceroyship.  The repertoire include marches composed for the Argentine Infantry and also music from the old Spanish ordinances.

This repertoire has instrumental and choral marches and bugle calls of the Argentine Army. Was performed by the band of the Colegio Militar de la Nación (National Military School). We note San Lorenzo by Cayetano Silva, famous march performed by the first time in 1902.

This disc was performed by an special band of the Argentine Navy maked up  for this recording. Here we present compositions that belongs to the Navy repertoire, including the Irish traditional composition Saint Patrick's day in the morning arranged as march as homage to the Admiral William Brown, born in Ireland and considered the founder  of the Navy, plus bugle and whistle calls.
